As long as the game doesn't get postponed again, it won't be long before we can make a name for ourselves in Night City. That's why we've put together all the information and news you need. Everything you need to know about the release of Cyberpunk 2077 is listed here:

1. Release Date

After the new Triple-A title from CD Projekt RED was postponed three times, the final release date is now set for December 10, 2020. Initially, November 19 was actually scheduled, but the developer wasn't quite convinced of the end product.

September 17 also had to be written off as a release date. The complete in-game content such as mission cutscenes and the skill system is already integrated into the game. However, due to the complexity of the title, it was decided to double-check everything to make sure everything worked together perfectly.

Since the new graphics card generation will already be in circulation, Cyberpunk 2077 will even benefit from the two delays.

2. Night City Wire: Always the latest information about Cyberpunk 2077

New information about Cyberpunk 2077 is being released bit by bit in the Night City Wire mini-video series. General questions about the game and community topics are also answered and clarified there.

Night City Wire Episode 1 – Brain Dance

In the first episode, you can take a 25-minute trip through Night City with Hollie Bennett (UK Head of Communication). She shows you the current trailer and can elicit some exciting answers from the developers.

She also introduces the new witch sense "Braindance" with detailed gameplay. With Braindance you can empathize with the memories of other people who have already experienced them. This gives the “Flatliners” their very special kick.

You can use this technique to relive important events in the game world. The video can be fast-forwarded and rewound at will.

With different playback modes, you can better search for clues or clues. Visuals, audio, and heat were featured in the episode.

Night City Wire Episode 2 – Your Origins and “Refused”

The second episode of Night City Wire explores life paths, weapon types, and the fictional band Samurai.

Your chosen life path will not only give you a completely different prologue, but also unique dialogue options that will have a profound impact on your gameplay.

While CDPR is known for its attention to detail, it hasn't formed its own band for the game. Swedish punk band Refused will embody the fictional group Samurai.

There are ten other bands and musicians who put their own stamp on Cyberpunk's soundtrack. Among others, you will hear Run the Jewels and Grimes.

The three weapon classes promise diverse gunplay and plenty of opportunities to resolve your confrontations in the traditional way.

Tech weapons can shoot through walls, smart weapons have homing projectiles, and power weapons are real-world rifles.

Night City Wire Episode 3 - The Gangs of the City

Episode 3 took a closer look at the city of Night City. Each street has its own name. This not only helps the developers to fill out the story with named locations but also allows you to talk to your friends about specific locations.

Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer will also benefit from this street naming. The city grew organically out of the ground. A major goal of the developers was that each of the six districts felt like their own little world

Night City Wire 3 also introduced you to the gangs of Night City. These include the Maelstrom, Valentinos, 6th Street, Voodoo Boys, Animals, Tyger Claws, Moxes, Wraiths, and Aldecaldos.

Each gang represents its own interests and will offer you jobs from time to time. V belongs to a group of mercenaries operating out of the Afterlife Club.

Afterlife Mercs are among the most respected mercenaries and therefore get the best jobs. You'll probably never get accepted into any of the other gangs, though, since the gangs only accept people who are loyal to them and won't run away if the next transfer fails.

Night City Wire Episode 4 - Cars and Clothes

Episode 4 of Night City Wire features an in-depth look at the Night City auto scene. There are five car classes that differ in their driving style, equipment, look, and rarity.

The economy is lower-class cars for the narrow dollar. Executives make a good impression and tend to embody low riders. Fast when it matters most, but the main thing is style.

Heavy Duty ranges from heavy trucks to heavily armored 4x4s and tanks. If a job requires you to kick in the front door, that's your car class.

Sport and Hyper Cars differ in their price range. Hypercars are much harder to get and therefore also much more expensive. But both classes have the decent horsepower.

For a game that isn't actually a racing game, quite a bit of work went into the sound design.

Together with Polish racing driver Tomasz Czokip, CD Project RED drove donuts until they dropped on an old runway.

Various microphones were placed in the cars to properly capture the sound.

Johnny Silverhand's car, a 1977 Porsche 911, was brought into the studio especially for this. So his car has an absolutely authentic sound.

There will also be motorcycles. Among others the Method 143 by Arch Motorcycles. A company co-founded by Johnny Silverhand actor Keanu Reeves.

But the fashion world of Night City was also allowed to show what it has to offer.

Kitsch: neon, chrome, and reflective tattoos. Appearance is clearly more important than function.

Entropism: Ruined by violent crises and driven out of town, many people have to be inventive if they want to wear anything at all. A mixture of hillbilly and classic country style.

Neomilitarism: You are rich, corrupt, and an absolute asshole? Well, then kindly dress like one too! Substance over style.

Neokitsch: Just as rich, but less cold-hearted. Lots of kitsch elements have been included, but bigger, better, and shinier.

At the very end, the best participants of the first official cosplay contest were shown.

Cyberpunk 2077 will also be available on Google Stadia starting November 19th.

One more thing: The Diner. V apparently meets up with his black-market implant dealer at a diner.

Night City Wire Special Episode: Xbox One X and Xbox Series X

No really big announcements were shown in the Special Episode, just a technical demonstration of the Xbox One X and Xbox Series X.

You also see a mission in which protagonist V has to bring back a kidnapped person by any means necessary.

Johnny Silverhand also features in the mission, which may mean it is a plot-related assignment.

During the video, the gameplay was shown alternates between the two consoles.

At the very end, it is confirmed again that the final release date will really be December 10th.

Night City Wire Episode 5 - Johnny Silverhand and the Gameplay Trailer

The final episode of Night City Wire aired on November 19th. A minute's silence for all the gamers who took an extra day off work here because this was supposed to be the original release date.

As much as it hurt, the better it felt when the episode confirmed December 10th as the release date, just like in the special episode.

Keanu Reeves is Johnny Silverhand. Johnny Silverhand is Keanu Reeves. The late rock star is a kind of co-protagonist stuck in V's mind.

The story is accompanied by him and you can even slip into his body for some missions.

Episode 5 revealed a lot of technical stuff about the game. Motion capture and JALI in combination ensure the ultra-realistic body and facial animations.

A very special aspect of Cyberpunk 2077 is the music. By that, we don't mean Johnny Silverhand's band, which was already introduced in a previous Night City Wire episode, but the complete soundtrack of the game.

Numerous artists were allowed to let off steam and bring their own personal touch to the music.

One feature that many people have been waiting for is digital rewards, which you receive for owning other CD Projekt RED games.

At the very end, the gameplay trailer is also shown, giving you some really interesting insights into the game. First and foremost, of course, Keanu Ree… um, Johnny Silverhand.

That's it for Cyberpunk 2077 updates. So probably. Night City Wire Episode 5 is the last bit of promotional material before the final release.

3. Cyberpunk 2077 pre-orders

Despite the double postponed release date, pre-orders are certainly not stagnating. After all, the title has been awaited by a large number of fans for several years.

But there are no special bonuses for pre-orders. Everyone should be able to experience the same game.

4. Cyberpunk 2077 setting

Cyberpunk 2077 will be a role-playing game, as it says in the book. You control the main character V in a night city riddled with corruption and violence.

You can create your character according to your preferences and later modify it with implants.

We especially liked the character editor after the demos. You can not only determine your appearance, but also your origin.

This gives you unique dialogue options and other interactions with the brilliant game world later in the game.

On your way, you will meet a lot of NPCs, which can be friendly but also hostile towards you. Depending on which job you screw up first.

The game world is not as extensive as that of The Witcher 3, but it is rather tall. Many of Night City's mega-skyscrapers are largely walkable.

Different factions rule their respective parts of the city. You either have a good relationship with them because of your background or you do jobs for them. Either way, there are a plethora of possible approaches.

5. Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay

Cyberpunk 2077 clearly identifies itself as an RPG. While you'll be playing in first-person perspective, you'll also have more ways to "convince" your enemies than just firearms.

According to the developer, there is always a way to solve a certain situation without having to kill someone right away.

So the Pacifist playthrough is a very realistic approach. Each playthrough should be a unique story.

You'll see the fastest progression in the game by smashing through the enemy ranks with as much firepower as possible.

6. Skill system in Cyberpunk 2077

Classic skills that you actively use and then have to wait for a cooldown don't really exist in Cyberpunk 2077, but there are a lot of perks that you can mix and match as you want.

You will also not be able to find a fixed class. Rather, each character has the potential to be an all-rounder.

There are five main attributes that your character possesses. Body, Intelligence, Reflexes, Cool and Technical.

Each of these attributes has its own perk tree that you can invest your skill points in. Thus, a completely unique character is possible in each game.

To improve your skills, just use them. It works in a similar way to Skyrim. This also works with weapons, by the way.

The five main attributes in Cyberpunk 2077

Body: Includes physical abilities, as well as your proficiency with firearms and melee weapons. With a high body skills, you will be able to overpower your opponents in close combat more easily.

Intelligence: Let's you hack terminals, robots, or even some humans. In a world like Cyberpunk 2077, it always pays to be able to hack things.

Reflexes: Improve your skills with more agile weapons and blades. With good reflexes, you will become the fastest gun in the corrupt west.

Cool: Is the assassin tree of your skill choice. Here you will learn how to shoot a sniper rifle, kill targets silently and how keep a cool head in a sticky situation.

Technical: This is the practical opposite of intelligence. This is about assembling and repairing your toys yourself.

7. Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer

Speaking of playing together, Cyberpunk 2077's multiplayer won't appear until 2022 at the earliest. According to the developer, this is more of a "small" project.

8. Microtransactions

There will be no microtransactions for Cyberpunk 2077's single-player mode. This has already been confirmed by CD Projekt RED on Twitter.

However, the multiplayer mode should have said microtransactions and be marketed and maintained as an independent game. You can think of it like GTA 5 and GTA Online.

9. Questing

The quests in Cyberpunk 2077 are divided into four categories: Main, Side, Mini, and Gigs. The main quests are the story of Cyberpunk 2077. These mainly revolve around your main character V.

Side and mini-quests won't offer as much scope as the main story, but they certainly won't be dismissed as a chore. After all, we are talking about CD Projekt RED here.

Gigs are the smallest quests in Cyberpunk 2077. They only involve your attention for a short time. However, you should not overlook them. CP Projekt RED pays a lot of attention to even the smallest quests.

The story will also deal with some politically relevant topics, among other things.

10. Getting Around in Night City

While the map isn't quite as big as The Witcher 3's, it's still a good idea to use wheels if you need to travel a long distance.

There will be quite a few cars that you can order at the push of a button, similar to GTA Online. A large fleet of vehicles will be provided for you, which you can put together as you wish. In addition to conventional cars, you can also buy motorcycles. Unfortunately, there are no flying cars.

11. Romances

V will be able to start a relationship, an affair, or even just an affair with a large number of characters.

Just like The Witcher 3, there will be some explicit snippets. When it comes to choosing a partner, the player has very few limits. Each NPC has its own preferences. Many of them are bisexual. But some you can only engage in a relationship if your gender suits them.

But it definitely shouldn't be material for a porn film.

12. Cyberpunk 2077 minimum requirements

We're slowly entering a timeline where systems under Nvidia's 900 series are no longer able to play games really smoothly.

Cyberpunk 2077 is no exception and sets the minimum requirements to run the game smoothly as follows:

OS: Windows 7

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K, 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8320

RAM: 8GB of memory

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2 GB with 2 GB VRAM each or AMD Radeon R9 380

Storage: at least 70 GB of free storage space

DirectX version: 11

The recommended system requirements, like the minimum requirements, don't look as demanding as we would have thought:

OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8320 processor or higher

GPU: AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 Nano 8GB or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or higher

RAM: 16GB RAM or higher

Storage: at least 70 GB of free storage space

DirectX version: 11

13. Upgrade to the next-gen console for free

Once you've bought Cyberpunk, you won't need to buy it again for the next generation of consoles. You can easily upgrade your existing version and continue playing on the new generation of consoles.

14. Cyberpunk 2077 age rating

A CDPR game is almost guaranteed to be rated 18+ at the USK. Everything else makes no sense in the case of Cyberpunk 2077 either. So the game will be available for ages 18+.

15. Voice Actor

You'll notice some familiar voices in Cyberpunk 2077. For example, Keanu Reeve's character Johnny Silverhand is also voiced by Keanu's German dubbing actor Benjamin Völz.

The male version of V is voiced by Björn Schalla. This speaks, among other things, Sebastian Stan in the MCU films. V's female version is voiced by Flavia Vinzens, who has already lent her voice to blockbuster games like Fallout 4 and Mafia 3.
