The City Crawl in Dota Underlords lets you conquer the streets of White Spiers together with your Underlords. We unlocked the entire map once and solved all the puzzles. With our screenshots, you can solve every puzzle.

City Crawl

The City Crawl lets you play through the four areas of White Spire to take control of the city alongside the Underlords. Each Underlords has been assigned their their own neighborhood.

To start the journey you have to solve your first puzzle in the middle of the city. All puzzles have no Underlords to help you. However, it can happen that you are already given a unit that does not cost you any points.

Each puzzle has a maximum amount of units you can use, a cap on how much gold those units can use, and default items or no items at all. The items also cost gold in this mode.

The First of Many Trials

We don't want to set a new high score with any of these boards. It's all about solving the puzzle. Over time, our combinations of heroes may not work anymore. That depends on whether and to what extent changes are made to the puzzles.

For the first puzzle, our hero selection might be a bit overkill, but it gets the job done. The two pudges are there to pull the two enemies towards us. The leftmost drow ranger on our board can shoot over the first barricade because it's on the adjacent square.

The Lich and Necrophos are only included as Heartless filler units. Also, they are both pretty strong ranged units.

City Crawl Puzzle #1: Jull

Confusing Goals

The two Shadow Shamans and the Venomant might look dangerous with their three stars, but they aren't as vital as you think. All those little pest warts have a vitality item, but they only need a light gust of wind to fall over.

The three Razors are in the team for the AoE damage. Otherwise, you simply won't be able to kill the plague warts fast enough before more enemies are summoned. The Shapeshifter and Lich are both powerful filler units and mages. This is how you get the mage alliance full. The three Razors give all three only one point on the alliance.

Mana Lounge and Bar in the Zauberzeche

The aim of this puzzle is not to be immediately destroyed by the magicians. So you will need a lot of HP and armor. That's why we chose Warrior. Lifestealer is in the game because we wanted Heartless and Barbarian to be in alliances.

Both weaken the opponent and let you use your HP advantage. It is very important that you also equip the Bone Crusher's Fedora. The Staff of the Dark King and the Hood of Resistance must also be included.

No Getting Past Sven

This puzzle gives you a free level 3 Slark. It costs you no gold and no unit slot. The Slark will do all the work for you too. It's all about giving him enough time.

That's why we're taking warriors and two warlocks with us again. Pudge is here to pull the enemies out of cover.

Surgery 86

Here you will get a level 3 tusk for free. We put the lone druid in the back row because the enemy ax will jump there with the blink dagger.

The Bristleback on the opponent's side will revive with the help of his item. The weak building blocks of the opposing team are definitely the Beastmaster and Juggernaut.

City Crawl Puzzle #2: Enno

You can probably win here with just four insects. But we decided to use summoners. You can only place your units in the first row in this mission. That's why the shadow shaman is so lost at the forefront with us.

The Lone Druid is automatically upgraded to level three. This happens through the Druid Alliance. To win, only Necrophos and Lich must be defeated.

Light The Way

A lot of magic resistance is the key to this puzzle. The Slark will do all the work here. The other three units should only provide enough distraction. The four keepers of the light may have three stars, but that doesn't make their frontline units.


Although there are all four insect units as opponents, they are all on just one star. The three Razors provide the AoE damage again. The ultimate ability can also finish off the spiderlings summoned by the Insect Alliance. These are usually not targetable by units.

The Lycan and the Plasma Warden are just part of it. You can also take two other magicians onto the field with you. All you have to do in this puzzle is defeat the brood mother to win.

About snake and stone

Here we allowed ourselves a little fun with our units. The two ogre mages should simply die to strengthen the blood hunter. Take them to the third level anyway, because you don't want them to fall over right away.

City Crawl Puzzle #3: Anessix

Now You See Her...

The enemies will all teleport to you because they all have a blink dagger. So it only makes sense to set up your units in a corner. The tide hunter stands a little to one side so that his ult also catches as many opponents as possible.

We only included the Necrophos because it's a decent ranged unit and heals a bit. We didn't use any items.

The Servants of the Red Twins

In this puzzle, you take advantage of the insect alliance. The Spiderlings this spawns cannot be targeted by the three Blood Hunters.

Anessix' Pawn

One of the harder puzzles. The two dragons deal considerable area damage. If possible, your units should only approach the enemy individually and not all stand in a heap.

You can certainly take down the divine sword on the dragon knight and place Kaden's blade on Medusa. By the way, the dragon knight is free at level three. You always have him with you on the field.

The Healer and the Hunter

Here, too, you simply take all four insects with you and win almost automatically. Your opponents have neither AoE damage nor a decent alliance bonus.

City Crawl Puzzle #4: Hobgen

Only You Can Start Forest Fires

So the game's mango farm turned out to be a serious challenge. But with six magicians we managed to clear the forest. The area damage flattens the trees and our frontline can hold the lone druid and treant protector at bay long enough.

Just Me And My Buddies

Hogben really has the most annoying puzzles in his field. However, with a full warrior alliance, we overcame this challenge as well. The pudge is always the first to be targeted by the two griffins. In this way, he also gets his ult the quickest and can pull out an opponent directly.

In our test, we didn't even give away the Void Stone and Mail. You can of course do that. That should make it even easier then.

Horn Solo (Pick it up! Pick it up! Pick it up!)

The Alpha's three horns don't exactly make this puzzle a walk in the park. Unless you have knights at your disposal. Then every quest is a walk. The pudge isn't even included for his ult, just to get the Heartless Alliance to the first tier. He also has a very large HP pool.

Make sure to place the knights next to each other as this is the only way they will get their alliance bonus.

Burning Desire

Unfortunately, you can't get the magician alliance completely full, since only five units are allowed. You can place two Vigilant Heroes on the field for this. These focus on the unit in the opposing game that last activated an ability.

Once the Shapeshifter punches through enemies and the Guardian of Light ignites its ultimate ability, there's not much left of the Bat Rider. This is your primary goal. As soon as he falls, you win the game.
