May also have lots of new game highlights in store for you. We present our three favorites to you today.

The best new games in May:

The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor

The Elder Scrolls universe really has one thing in abundance: content. Every year since the 2014 release has been peppered with DLCs for the game. Greymoor is now the fourth major area expansion of TESO.

Greymoor gives you the opportunity to explore the homeland of the Nords long before the events of Skyrim ever took place. It is the second of the four DLCs that will be released for TESO in 2020.

The story takes you to Western Skyrim. More precisely, into the depths of the Black Width. A vampire prince is waiting there for you, who wants to conquer all of Tamriel. So like every villain ever. But there are other innovations as well. An antiquities system lets you salvage artifacts from the past and learn more about the history of the world.

In terms of gameplay, the vampire skills have been completely overhauled. Also, there is now the ability that you can turn into a vampire lord. So like in the Skyrim DLC "Dawnguard". The new underground area "Blackreach" makes up to 40% of the new game area.

Although you are in Western Skyrim, there are no Dragonborn and no dragons. The new public events, the Harrowstorms, are certainly part of the game. Enemies appear continuously around a Harrowstorm. The new trial, Kynis Aegis, is also more for groups of players. The task is to defend an island against waves of opponents.

At theMay 18this the latest DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online. You pay €39.99 for the pre-order expansion in the Steam Store. The other two expansions for 2020 will appear in August and November. According to the current content plan, there are also plans for the future. As long as the game can be monetized, there will be enough content.

UPDATE: Due to the current situation, the release has been moved to Tuesday 26th May for PC/Mac and Tuesday 9th June for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

population zero

Imagine Rust and No Man's Sky had a child. Population Zero plays something like this. It's a space MMOG with survival elements. You should gain a foothold for your faction on the planet Kepler-438 B and open up the planet for mankind.

There is a sophisticated crafting system that you can use to build your own weapons, other equipment, and even entire bases. These bases can serve as trading outposts for you and other players. You can imagine the base construction similar to that in Rust.

According to the developer, there is room for up to one hundred players on one server at the same time. All of these players face the challenges of the planet. Hunger and thirst are real dangers that can cost you your life. The fauna of the planet also doesn't like it at all if you get too close to them.

If your character dies, the game isn't over right away. Because you are then simply resuscitated with altered DNA. If you're a member of a certain faction, there's even a chance that that DNA isn't fully human.

A session lasts 168 hours. During this time, you must repair the reactor to get your hibernation pod working. In these 168 hours you can expand your skill tree, complete quests for NPCs or go hunting. When you die, you lose most of your skills. Only a few perks are transferred.

In a clan system you can coordinate better with other players. Clan players must be members of the same faction. The game clearly has a PvP focus. In the course of a game, you will conquer territories and capture bases.

Early Access for Population Zero begins May 5th. According to Enplex Games, this phase will last at least nine months. The finished game will be released in 2021.

new world

Amazon launches its first game. The game, originally intended as a pure PvP open world, has undergone quite a change during the development phase. The survival elements have been completely removed. PvP still exists, but you can simply turn off this mode with a switch.

But the MMO doesn't get by without big battles between the players. There are up to 50 players per team in the epic battles for large fortresses. In the PvE variant, you fight with your team against hordes of opponents.

There are no conventional character classes. Your weapons are the classes that you can evolve. The combat system is the main focus of the game. But there are also a lot of quests from NPCs, an unbelievable number of enemies and even a housing system, as it should be for an MMO.

In this housing system, a house is always shared by several players. The house with the best decoration is always displayed. If you own a house, you will always see your own apartment.

Enemies may seem somewhat normal at the beginning of the game. In the later course of the game, however, really crazy designs will come your way. The island on which the story takes place is based on the real world and has been filled with mythology from various sources.

With the deluxe version of the game, you can secure some cosmetic items and emotes in advance. However, your complete gameplay progress within the beta will not be included in the full version. The beta is only intended to test the game and collect important data.

As the game is developed by Amazon, there are some streaming features implemented for Twitch streamers to work with. On 26.05. you can join the beta for €39.99. The release date of the final version is set for August 25, 2020.
